CWL started collaborating with the ESOL office to identify those families. The donation of $ 2900 was to assemble 80 Christmas baskets full of food and household items.

 training, assisting in job searching and feeding the homeless.

Mercy Health Clinic

– The US$2,000 donation to the Mercy Health Clinic was to sponsor their effort in
 providing a primary health care facility to low income residents of Montgomery
 County Maryland, who have no health insurance and cannot otherwise appropriate
 health care. Also sponsored free pharmaceutical support to the services MHC provide
 and sponsor women’s health issues

International Leadership Foundation

– The US$2,000 donation to the ILF provided scholarships to support the promotion of
 civic awareness, involvement and effectiveness of Asian Pacific Americans; it also
 supports the Public Affairs Fellowship Program which provides future Asian American

The donation of $500 was to support their nonprofit employment referral service
 administered by the Montgomery County Federation of Women’s Club, Inc.

 necessary job skills training for immigrant populations

Chinese Opera Society of DC

– Donations of $800 to the Chinese Opera Society of Greater Washington D.C. were used to support the cultural event for performing Chinese opera held on September 27, 2003

A special fund was raised for helping Ms. Ya-Wen Su who lost both her legs in a car accident. This donation of $70,764 was used by Ms. Su to pay for her medical expenses including the payments for prostheses, rehabilitation and wheelchair.

– Donations of $13,000 were used to help the needy at the Mercy Health Clinic. The purpose was to educate and promote awareness that every group can work together to care for and cooperate from others to coexist harmoniously. Thousands of patients & family members benefited from it.
 
– Donations to an elementary school so that students could make better use of resources. This also set an example of helping each other. At least 500 students benefited from it. ($1,000)

– The purpose was to reinforce the mission of integration into mainstream society, helping the underprivileged and sponsoring the local community events. Countless number of people will be benefited from the ongoing efforts. ($6,866)
